Furniture Road ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information when you visit furnitureroad.co.nz (the "site") or deal with us as a wholesale customer. What information we collect

We only collect personal information that we need to run our business and provide our products and services. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact and account details your name, business or trading name, email address, postal and delivery address, and phone number, provided when you register for a wholesale account, place an order, or contact us.
  • Order and transaction information  the products you view, add to your wishlist or cart, and order, along with your order history and correspondence with us.
  • Login details  the username and password you create for your wholesale account (passwords are stored in encrypted form).
  • Enquiry information any details you include when you email us, submit a wishlist, or use a contact form.
  • Technical and usage information collected automatically when you browse the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and cookie data (see "Cookies" below).

Our website runs on WooCommerce (WordPress). Payment for orders is arranged directly with us; we do not store full credit card numbers on our website.

How we collect your information

We collect personal information directly from you wherever we reasonably can for example, when you register an account, place an order, submit a wishlist, or contact us. Some technical information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use the site. Where it is lawful and practical to do so, you may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym, though we may not be able to register you as a wholesale customer or fulfil orders without certain details.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • set up and manage your wholesale account;
  • process, fulfil and deliver your orders and manage payment;
  • respond to your enquiries, wishlists and requests, and tell you where your nearest stockist is located;
  • provide customer support and manage our relationship with you;
  • maintain and improve the site and our products and services;
  • send you information about products, arrivals and specials where you have asked to receive it or where it is directly related to a transaction with us; and
  • meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

We will only use your information for the purposes for which it was collected, or for related purposes you would reasonably expect, unless you consent otherwise or we are permitted or required by law.

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We may share it with:

We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably practicable. There is no charge for making a request, though a reasonable charge may apply in limited circumstances permitted by law.

Marketing choices

If we send you marketing communications, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us directly. We will action your request promptly.

Our site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
